FINALLY, after 5 1/2 years of having my "grand dog" rule the home, I finally get him to listen to me and the rules of the house! After Oliver decided to destroy our bedroom door and do a full demolition on our bathroom (not kidding, he destroyed everything through walls and to the sub floor), and me not being able to leave my house for fear of him causing more destruction, it was really a question of fixing the problem once and for all or finding Oliver another home because quite honestly I was at the end of my rope. I REALLY did not want to loose my grand dog but I just couldn't continue like this. Since Oliver has completed his board and train program at Downey Dog training, we finally have a dog who is a pleasure to be around and he finally feels that we are his leaders and not the other way around. No big surprise I would of course recommend Brittany 1000% She is worth every penny and then some. The day my daughter is on her own and takes Oliver with her I will more than likely get another dog, however this time it will go straight to Brittany for training! Brittany is a genuine animal lover and has forever changed the lives of us and our dogs! We sent our 2 dogs to the board and train program (my dogs are 6 years old and over 50lbs each) and she taught them the tools we needed them to know to better handle them. She worked with them as a pair as well to ensure they’d both be reliable around one another and separately. When we picked up our dogs she taught us everything we needed to know and continues to check in with us in case we have questions or need anything. I was out in my front yard practicing everything my dogs learned with Brittany, and two of my neighbors came by and raved about how well behaved the dogs looked compared to before they had the training. Brittany is such an amazing dog trainer! Our dog is a little older and was terribly disobedient and generally obnoxious - knocking kids over, not coming when called, fearful of adults, unable to be near another dog or she would attack, etc. After taking classes with Downey Dog Training, our dog is happier, friendlier, and obedient. We are now able to take our dog to festivals crowded with people and other animals and our dog is just fine. My husband and I recently adopted Nora, a rescue dog who was trained by Downey Dog Training. Over the past 30 years, we have had a variety of terriers and taken them to training classes. Nora is the sweetest, best trained terrier I have ever seen or had! No trainers before have been so knowledgeable and professional. After going through the program, John Boy now has a reliable recall, even when challenged by distractions of squirrels and other critters! Brittany has such a good rapport with dogs that they immediately recognize her authority and they are eager to learn. Her methods are gentle and professional. For the first time in the two years that I've had him, Ghost actually heeled and walked on the leash without pulling.
